Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the higher harmonics in a power supply, by connecting a transistor which controls nonconductively the waveform of half a Hz symmetrically left and right on the DC side of a rectifying bridge. CONSTITUTION:A power source 1 and a motor 2 are connected on the AC side of a rectifying bridge 4. On the DC side of the rectifying bridge 4 a transistor 5 is connected which is controlled so that the waveform of half a Hz may be divided symmetrically left and right with nonconducting angle alpha and a conducting angle beta at the center. If the nonconducting angle alpha is increased or decreased, the conducting angle beta will be decreased and the speed can be regulated. Since the conducting angle beta is symmetric with respect to left and right, the higher harmonics in the power supply will be decreased and electromagnetic noise reduced.
