Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of a lower feed roll with glue and to assure the supply of a member to be glued to a gate by positioning the lower feed roll to the side backward of a perpendicular position on the basis of the feed direction of the member to be glued. CONSTITUTION:An upper gluing roll 1 and the lower feed roll 2 are installed inclinatorily. The central axial line 2a of the lower feed roll 2 is positioned to the side backward of the perpendicular position based on the feed direction of the member (a) to be glued. The glue liquid, therefore, does stick to the roll 2 even if said liquid drops from the point (a) of the upper roll 1 during the gluing operation. Since the gate 4 exists on a slope F2 and is formed between the rear side of the lowermost point of the upper roll 1 and the front side of the uppermost point 21 of the lower roll 2, the member (a) supplied between the uppermost point 21 of the lower roll 2 and the gate 4 is surely engaged in the gate 4 by the feed guide of the lower roll 2.
