PURPOSE:To obtain a Zn-Cr plated steel sheet having superior corrosion resistance by specifying the concns. of Zn ions and tervalent Cr ions in a plating bath and carrying out electroplating with the bath at a specified current density. CONSTITUTION:An acidic plating bath contg. 10-100g/l tervalent Cr ions and 10-150g/l Zn ions at 0.5-3mol./l total ion concn. is prepd. Electrolysis is carried out with the plating bath at >=150A/dm<2> current density. A Zn-Cr plated steel sheet having superior corrosion resistance is obtd.
