Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure accurate blood pressure by eliminating that the ischemia of the artery is obstructed by wrinkles, by mounting an air bag formed from a plurality of air chambers partitioned by partition walls and communicating with each other through communication parts. CONSTITUTION:An air bag 11 consists of a pair of sheets 12, 13 composed of a vinyl resin rich in stretchability and the total peripheral edge of one sheet 13 is bonded to the other sheet 12 by heat-welding or an adhesive to provide a bonded part 14 and partition walls 15 running in the short lateral direction of the air bag 11 are similarly formed by heat welding or an adhesive when the bonded part 14 is formed to divide the air bag into a plurality of air chambers 11a, 11b, 11c in the longitudinal direction. When the air bag 11 thus formed is wound around a wrist and expanded by feeding compressed air in said bag 11, the inside sheet 13 expands inwardly to generate the surplus. However, the inside sheet 13 is pulled up at the parts of the partition walls 15 by the sheet 12 expanding outwardly and the surplus is consumed by said pulled-up part and, therefore, wrinkles are not almost generated at the part brought into contact with the skin.
