Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the coloration of s high-pressure mercury lamp by combining a green phosphor additionally to a specific phosphor YAG:Ce<3+>, a red phosphor, and a blue-green phosphor. CONSTITUTION:In this fluorescent high-pressure mercury lamp, the phosphor film is formed of four phosphors. The first phosphor is the yttrium aluminate phosphor activated by the trivalent cerium. The second phosphor is the barium magnesium aluminate phosphor coactivated by the bivalent europium and the bivalent manganese. Then the third phosphor is the yttrium silicate phosphor coactivated by the trivalent cerium and the trivalent terbium. And the fourth phosphor is at least one of the yttrium vanadate phosphor activated by the trivalent europium and the yttrium vanadate phosphate activated by the trivalent europium. By composing in such a way, the coloration can be improved extensively compared with a normal fluorescent high-pressure mercury lamp, and the use can be expanded to the field of the indoor lighting.
