Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize heat quantity, and also, protect the filler of a cooling water generator from the deterioration caused by sudden temperature change, by supplying the heating medium for heating of an adsorber remaining in the heat transfer pipe of an adsorption tower to the heat transfer pipe of the adsorption tower just before shifting from the adsorption process to desorption process, and switching the adsorption and desorption at the point of time when the preheating of a solid adsorber is finished. CONSTITUTION: The drums 12 and 12' of each adsorption tower 11 and 11' are connected to a condenser 14 and an evaporator 17 so that a refrigerant can circulate, using plural units of adsorption towers 11 and 11' having solid absorbers S and heat transfer pipes 13 within, and also in the case of performing the switching operation between adsorption and desorption so that at least one out of the plural adsorption towers 11 and 11' may be in a process different from that of the other, the heat media for heating of the adsorber remaining in the heat transfer pipe 13' of the adsorption tower 11' just before shifting from the desorption process to the adsorption process out of the plural units of adsorption towers 11 and 11' are supplied to the heat transfer pipe 13 of the adsorption tower 11 just before shifting from the adsorption process to the desorption process, and when roughly all quantity of the remaining hot water passes within the heat conductive pipe 13 and the preheating of the solid adsorber S is finished, the adsorption and desorption process of the adsorption tower 11 is switched.
