Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect an accurate speed signal, by receiving the output signal of a rotary encoder (RE) only once as an interruption signal at every sampling time in a speed signal detector for detecting a speed signal at every definite sampling time. CONSTITUTION:A rotary direction is discriminated from the input of the output signals A, B of an RE 2 having 90 deg. phase difference by a signal processing circuit 3 inputting said signals A, B and the edges of the input of the signals A, B are converted to pulses and pulse trains (a), (b) are outputted to a counter 4 as moving quantities at every CW and CCW directions. The pulse trains (a), (b) are connected to the incremental and decremental terminals of the counter 4 and the rotary position of a motor 1 is detected on the basis of the count value. The output of the circuit 3 is also inputted to an OR circuit 5 to generate an output pulse C at every pulse edge of the RE 2. In a CPU 6, the pulse C is set to interruption input for obtaining an interruption signal and the output of the counter 4 is inputted from a data bus only once at every sampling time and a speed signal is calculated from the number of pulses and a time interval. Therefore, an accurate speed signal reduced in an error can be detected.
