Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to precisely match a glass molding with a glass plate having a complicated shape by a method wherein molding material is poured in a molding material pouring groove in a molding mold, in which a metal dummy plate having a shape same as that of the glass plate is inserted, and solidified so as to mold the glass molding on the peripheral edge of the dummy plate. CONSTITUTION:A dummy plate 1b is inserted in the dummy plate housing recessed part 2c of the lower mold 2a of a molding mold 2. An upper mold 2b is placed on the lower mold 2a, and their contact surfaces are brought into close contact with each other by pressing the upper and lower molds. After that, polyvinyl chloride liquid as molding material 3 is poured in a molding material pouring groove 2d and left as poured for a certain period of time in order to solidify said poured polyvinyl chloride liquid. After that, the dummy plate 1b is taken out of the lower mold 2a in order to obtain an assembly 4a, in which a glass molding 3a is bonded on the outer periphery of the dummy plate 1b. A formed glass molding 3a is obtained by removing the dummy plate 1a from the assembly 4a.
