Abstract

PURPOSE:To select a heat source machine without causing a deficiency in the heating capacity by a constitution in which a first selection determination means selects a heat source machine by the function of the outdoor temperature and the switching temperature, and, if a heat pump is once selected but is found to have too small a capacity, the selection is changed to a gas furnace by a second selection determination means. CONSTITUTION:A switching condition setting means sets the outdoor temperature (switching temperature) at which the operating cost becomes equal between a heat pump 1 and a gas furnace 2 based on the unit cost of energy and their operating efficiency. Upon receiving the input of detection signal from an outdoor temperature sensor 6, a first selection determination means 9 selects the heat pump 1 if the outdoor temperature measured by a temperature measuring means 8 is higher said switching temperature, and the gas furnace 2 if the outdoor temperature is lower. A second selection determination means 20 selects the gas furnace 2 even if the heat pump 1 has been selected if the room temperature stays lower than the set temperature for a certain period of time, or the rate of increase of room temperature is too small. As a result, an optimum heat source machine can be selected for existing outdoor temperature and thermal load conditions.
