Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a character to be efficiently and easily corrected by executing the correction of document data in a word unit, and immediately changing to the correction by a candidate character when the correction by a word unit cannot be executed. Besides, an operator key-inputs the number given to the correct candidate character from a keyboard 6 and makes it as the document data which the correct candidate character is read. Thus the character correction method with high operability can be obtained.
