Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically program a memory device corresponding to the data of an effective channel by automatically scanning a reception enabled channel range when a receiver is turned on after the supply of AC power is lost. CONSTITUTION: When a user turns on the receiver, a voltage Vop is generated inside a chassis 400, and this voltage is supplied through a voltage divider R6 /R7 to a set input terminal S of an IC1 . Then, after the lapse of delay time, the FFIC1 is set, its -Q output is turned to a low level and a low-level pulse is supplied through a capacitor C3 and a resistor R5 to the base of a transistor Q2 . Thus, the transistor Q2 is biased in a conducted state and until the capacitor C2 is practically completely charged, wires W5 and W6 are short-circuitted. When the wires W5 and W6 are short-circuitted, a tuner automatically scans its all the channel range and reprograms a volatile memory 340 corresponding to data which are lost while the power supply is lost.
