Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize communication between terminal equipments with different information speed via a PCM transmission path, by providing a mapping means, a transmission and reception register, a de-mapping means, a PLL means, a timing generating means, and a short-circuiting means. CONSTITUTION:The mapping means constitutes and transmits information from a terminal means and a control signal including a transmittable signal CS' in a multi- frame based on a prescribed procedure. And the transmission register 60, after storing the information transiently, sends it at the timing of the synchronizing signal of the PCM transmission path and a clock at the transmission speed of the transmission path. The reception register 80 stores the information and the control signal transiently, and sends a signal to be de-mapped in synchronism with a PCM synchronizing signal. The de-mapping means 400 divides them, and sends the information and the control signal including a reception carrier detecting signal CD to the terminal equipment.
