Abstract

PURPOSE:To successively extract the proper information out of plural pieces of information and to accurately control the drive of a self-traveling vehicle, by using a state detecting means, a vehicle position detecting means, a weight coefficient arithmetic means and a vehicle position arithmetic means. CONSTITUTION:A state detecting means 1 detects the working states of plural self- traveling vehicles and plural types of vehicle position detecting means 2 of different detecting systems detect the vehicle position information against the traveling path of the vehicle. The information detected by the means 2 are processed with weighting by a vehicle position arithmetic means 4 in accordance with those working states of vehicles detected by the means 1 and by means of the weight coefficient calculated by a weight coefficient arithmetic means 3. In other words, the information detected by plural types of detecting means of different detecting systems are extracted with the prescribed weighting in accordance with the state of a displacement angle/vehicle speed detecting means. Then the present position of the vehicle is calculated based on those extracted information. Thus it is possible to perform the proper traveling control in accordance with the states of detecting means or the working state of the vehicle. Then the reliability is improved for a controller for self-traveling vehicle.
