Abstract

PURPOSE:To form the title electrolytic cell capable of being easily assembled and hardly causing a leakage accident by integrating the double-electrode partition plate, electrode, and frame body consisting respectively of a specified material by fusion, and coating the wall surface of an electrolyte circulating hole provided to the frame body with a specified resin. CONSTITUTION:The double-electrode partition plate 1 consisting of an electrically conductive sheet obtained by adding a conductive substance (copper powder, etc.) to a thermoplastic resin (polyvinyl chloride, etc.), the electrode 2 consisting of a conductive substance (carbon, etc.) and the frame body 3 whose linear expansion coefficient is adjusted to <=5 times that of the partition plate 1 and consisting of a thermoplastic resin composition (added with glass fiber, etc.) are integrated by fusion. The wall surface of the electrolyte circulation hole 5 communicating with a manifold 5 provided to the frame body 3 is coated with a fluorine-based resin, etc., having excellent wear resistance. As a result, the cell can be easily assembled, the cost can be remarkably reduced, and a highly stable electrode assembly hardly causing a liq. leakage accident is obtained.
