Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an easy identification and referencing with the prevention of falsification using a simple detection means, by incorporating a light discoloring composition in a hot-melt layer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer material formed by providing a hot-melt ink layer on a substrate, the hot-melt ink layer contains a composition discoloring due to light. The light discoloring composition is preferably an organic photochromic compound, and the organic photochromic compound is desirably a spiro-oxazine compound. A recorded matter using this thermal transfer material is effectively used for the referencing and prevention of falsification with respect to various products, bills, passbooks, identification cards, etc. because it can be discriminated as a specially recorded matter using an ultraviolet-light irradiating device.
