Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily obtain an enlarged image or a spectrum of an affected part, by providing a signal receiving means with a surface coil and a position setting means for setting the position of the surface coil. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 1, wherein a human body is able to enter, generates a static magnetic field. A generated output is modulated by a modulation signal from a sequence control 2, is amplified by a high-frequency transmitter 4 and is sent via an impedance matching device 11 to a transmitting coil 5. The signal output from a receiving coil 6 is sent via an impedance matching device 12 to a high-frequency receptor 7. Here, the receiving coil 6 is a surface coil. When a surface coil position controller 16 is activated, a three-axial drive 15 is driven to select the position of a surface coil 14. A signal is transmitted and received at the high-frequency coil 5 for the whole body to obtain a magnetic resonance image of the whole body. The signal is then received by the surface coil 14 transferred to a part selected for precision examination. Thus, an enlarged image or a spectrum of an affected part is thus obtained as a magnetic resonance signal.
