Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain splashed-pattern-like textured yarn comprising a polyamide- based multi-yarn alternately having a darkly dyeing part and a palely dyeing part in the longitudinal direction of yarn and having specific physical properties of yarn and capable of preparing cloth having excellent stretchability, tearing strength and wear resistance. CONSTITUTION: Water or an aqueous liquid is intermittently attached to polyamide-based multifilament undrawn yarn having 25×10<-3> to 45×10<-3> double refractive index and the undrawn yarn is drawn to 1.2-3.0 times while heating the yarn with a hollow heater and then, subjected to false twisting and crimping. The false twisting and crimping are preferably carried out under overfeed conditions. Splashed pattern-like yarn in which a darkly dyeing part and palely dyeing part alternately exist in the longitudinal direction of yarn and the phase of each filament constituting yarn is uniform and breaking tenacity of yarn is >=4.0 g/d and the elongation ratio is >=20% and apparent diameter ratio of single filament cross sections of deeply dyeing part to palely dyeing part is 1.05-1.30 is obtained thereby.
