Abstract

PURPOSE:To record information with high sensitivity and high accuracy by using a record medium including a high-sensitivity electromagnetic-wave preforming film in which an electromagnetic-wave absorbing substance is dis persed minutely to a thermoplastic resin having specific physical characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A record medium is composed of an electromagnetic-wave transmitting material layer and an electromagnetic-wave perforating film layer, and a high-sensitivity electromagnetic-wave perforating film consisting of a thermoplastic resin, the temperature coefficient ( T/ logVI) of melt viscosity of which ranges over 3-100 and the Vicat softening point of which ranges over 40-150 deg.C, and an electromagnetic-wave absorbing substance having a dispersion diameter of 5mum or less and having the tensile modulus of elasticity of 75kg/mm<2> or more and displaying a heating holding rate of 15-80% and a heating shrinkage stress value of 75-1000g/mm<2> at an arbitrary temperature within a range of 60-180 deg.C is used as a film in the electromagnetic-wave perfo rating film layer. Accordingly, the record medium is irradiated with electromag netic waves and the perforating film is perforated or changed into a thin-film, thus recording required information with high accuracy at high resolution.
