Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a composite resin composed of a thermoplastic resin and fine metallic particles homogeneously dispersed therein, by forming a metallic coating on a film or sheet of the thermoplastic resin by vapor deposition and melting the metallized film or sheet by heating. CONSTITUTION:A metallic coating is formed on a film or sheet of a thermoplastic resin by vapor deposition, and the metallized film or sheet is molten by heating. In this way, fine metallic particles which constitute the metallic coating are dispersed in the molten resin to composite the thermoplastic resin with the metal. The ratio of the resin to the metal can be freely varied by controlling the thickness of the film or sheet or the amount of the metal deposited. A resin can be composited with a plurality of metals by metallizing one surface of a film or sheet with one metal and metallizing the other surface with another metal.
