Abstract
PURPOSE:To uniformly perform ultraviolet ray irradiation treatment even when an intermittent feed pitch changes, by forming a reflecting and light blocking plate blocking the light from a light source by revolving the lower part of the side surface of a cylindrical mirror around the bottom part of the cylindrical mirror in the advance direction of an object to be irradiated. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical mirror 5 is largely opened at the upper and lower surfaces thereof so as to permit ultraviolet rays to pass and the inside surface thereof is formed from a reflecting plate for reflecting the ultraviolet rays from a lamp 1 and the mirror 5 is divided into an upper part 5a and a lower part 5b at the certain position of the upper side surface thereof. When the lower part 5b revolves around the bottom part thereof in the advance direction of base paper 11 to reach the position of a dotted line, said lower part 5b functions as a light blocking plate blocking ultraviolet rays from the lamp 1. The ultraviolet rays allowed to irradiate the cylindrical mirror 5 among the ultraviolet rays from the lamp 1 are reflected from the inside surface of the cylindrical mirror 5 to irradiate the peripheral part of the irradiated surface positioned at the lower part on the side opposed to the reflecting surface. There is no difference between the illuminance distribution of the peripheral part and that of the central part and the illuminance distribution of the whole of the irradiated surface becomes almost uniform.
