Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The objective part contains >=80wt.% of a zirconia solid solution produced by the heat-treatment of a mixture containing 80.5-96.5wt.% of ZrO2, 2.5-11.0wt.% of CeO2, 0.6-5.0wt.% of Y2O3 and 0.1-3.5wt.% of an oxide of a lanthanide group element having atomic number of 59-71. The oxide of the lanthanide group element having an atomic number of 59-71 is e.g. Gd2O3, Nd2O3, Pr2O3, Sm2O3, Dy2O3, Yb2O3 or Er2O3 and the oxide is used singly or in combination of two or more kinds of oxides.
