Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to readily and economically produce a thick film superconductor, by kneading plural kinds of powdery precursor components in a solvent, preparing a superconductor precursor ink from the resultant slurry by a specific method and using the obtained ink. CONSTITUTION:A superconductor precursor ink is produced by the following method. That is, plural kinds of powdery precursor components are mixed in a liquid and the resultant mixture is kneaded to form a homogeneous slurry, which is then heated to remove the above-mentioned liquid and produce a mas sive superconductor precursor. The obtained superconductor precursor is subse quently powdered to provide a powdery superconductor precursor, which is then mixed with a liquid. A pattern is formed on the surface of a substrate by using the aforementioned superconductor precursor ink and heated at a temperature above the transition threshold temperature of the superconductor precursor ink to form a thick film. The above-mentioned substrate can be then cooled to a temperature below the transition threshold temperature of the afore mentioned thick film to afford the aimed thick film superconductor.
