Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent oxidation of metal powder and to efficiently separated and recover organic solvent by constituting production apparatus for metal powder so as to be able to separate the metal powder while holding under inert gas atmosphere from mixed slurry with the metal powder and atomizing medium, piled in a storing vessel by atomizing the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:To the molten metal 4 poured from a tundish 2 in an airtight vessel 13 held to the inert gas atmosphere the atomizing medium composing of organic solvent is injected 6. The obtd. metal powder and atomizing medium are piled at the lower part of the storing vessel 9 and taken out from a recovery valve 17 as slurry state and the atomizing medium is separated with a separate means containing a cyclon 102, and cooled 107 and returned to the vessel 9. Successively, the metal powder still containing the atomizing medium after separating with cyclon 102 is heated 103 and supplied into a reduced pressure separator 104 as second separating means. Then, in the separator 104, the metal powder is charged into the metal powder recovery tank in through discharging valves 110a, 110b. Further, the separated atomizing medium is condensed 105 and returned to an atomizing medium tank 16 through a recovery tank 112.
