Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a supporting slab unnecessary by jointing a slab of an uniform thickness with flat surfaces on both sides to a column head, directly supporting the slab with a column, bearing a column with a base isolation device, and reducing stresses acting to the column head portion and its vicinities. CONSTITUTION: A building 1 is separated into a superstructure 2 and a substructure 3, and laminated rubber bearings 4 are interposed between the structure 2 and structure 3. Also, for the structure 3, supporting bases 6 are set on a foundation footing supported by the foundation piles 6, the structure 2 is borne by the bearings 4 placed on the base 6 thereby making the structure 2 seismically isolated, and the floor of the structure 2 is constituted to flat plates 7 and supported by the columns 8. Then, the seismic input to the structure 2 comprising the plates 7 and columns 8 is attenuated by the bearings 4, thereby reducing the bending moment and shearing stress to the joint portions between the plates 7 and the apex of columns 8. In this way, a supporting slab becomes unnecessary and the height of the story can be lowered.
