Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the jam due to the floating-up which is generated by the bending of a paper sheet by forming a blowing means in the vicinity of a paper sheet taking-in port of an accumulating box and pressing and arranging the paper sheets into the accumulating box. CONSTITUTION:Blowing ports 9 and 12 are formed in the vicinity of a taking-in port for the paper sheets discharged from the vane wheel 4a of an accumulating box 7. Even if a bent part exists on the paper sheet 1 accumulated in the accumulating box 7, the paper sheets can be accumulated in parallel to the accumulating surface by the wind pressure supplied from the blowing ports. The wind pressure is discharged from an air vent hole 3 formed on the accumulating box 7. Therefore, the floating-up due to the bending of the paper sheet 1 is prevented, and generation of jam is prevented, and stable accumulation operation is permitted.

However, in the above device, no consideration is given to a means for holding the paper sheets 1 that are sequentially stacked in the stacking box 7 parallel to the stacking surface (bottom surface), and the paper sheets 1 have a strong tendency to bend. When paper sheets 1 are successively taken into the collection box 7, there is a raised part due to the bending of the paper sheet l taken in first, and a folded part of the paper sheet 1 taken in next. Since the sheets collide with each other and the paper sheets are sequentially fed in this state, a jam may occur at that location.
