Abstract

PURPOSE: To restrain a continuous document from being crest-folded or trough- folded along it perforated line to clearly print characters on the document, by laying tractor belts on both side of an image transfer point as a center therebetween, and by exerting torques in reverse directions with respect to each other, to the belts.
CONSTITUTION: A drive motor 5a is loaded with a pretorque in the direction reverse to the direction of that of a drive motor 6b so that tractor belts 4a, 4b are exerted with torques in reverse directions with respect to each other, and therefore, tension is always applied to a continuous document 7 fed by these tractor belts 4a, 4b. Further, in this arrangement, when the continuous document 7 is fed in the direction of the arrow P, the torque of the drive motor 6a is required to be greater than that of the motor 6b, and therefore, the document 7 is subjected to tension while it slips on the tractor belt 4b, and therefore, it travels in the direction of the arrow P. Thus, the inflection point surface of a crest-folded part or a trough-folded part at a perforated line in the continuous document is corrected, thereby it is possible to clearly print characters on the inflection point surface of the continuous document.
