When covering power cable connections, pipes, etc. with cylindrical bodies made of rubber or plastic, this is done by heating to take advantage of the heat-shrinking property of the covering cylindrical body. It is difficult to determine whether or not the object is in close contact with the object. In particular, incomplete adhesion is likely to occur when coating parts that connect objects with different diameters or objects that change shape. Therefore, when electrically insulating the interface between an object and a coated cylinder, incomplete adhesion can cause voids,
This results in defects similar to or worse than peeling, and significantly reduces performance. Furthermore, if the interface is to be kept waterproof or airtight, the function cannot be achieved and the purpose cannot be achieved. On the other hand, if heating is continued to bring the cylinders into complete contact, there is a risk of excessive heating. Such excessive heating causes serious problems such as burning of the surface of the cylinder, deformation and alteration of the cylinder.

For this reason, conventional efforts have been made to create lines, dots, and patterns on the surface of the shrinkable cylinder that can be used to determine latitude and longitude (1983-
48074), and the idea of providing a temperature indicating material on the surface of a shrinkable cylinder (Utility Model Application Publication No. 57-89078), but it is still difficult to safely and reliably cover an object with a heat-shrinkable cylinder. Covering work still often relied on experienced skills.

The gist of the present invention is to provide, on the surface of a heat-shrinkable cylinder, a first linear temperature-indicating material whose indicated temperature is the contraction start temperature of the heat-shrinkable cylinder, and whose indicated temperature is the contraction completion temperature of the heat-shrinkable cylinder. At least one second linear temperature indicating material
The reason is that each book is arranged parallel to the longitudinal direction at a predetermined interval from each other.

In the present invention, since the heat-shrinkable cylinder is configured in this way, it is possible to easily know the degree of contraction of the heat-shrinkable cylinder, such as the start and completion of contraction, by the coloring of the plurality of temperature indicating materials with different temperature indications. In addition, the degree of shrinkage can be partially confirmed by changing the shape of the temperature indicating material arranged in parallel and linear shapes, making it easy to determine whether the heat-shrinkable cylinder has sufficiently adhered to the object. It has excellent effects.

Fig. 1 is a sketch showing an example of the heat-shrinkable cylinder of the present invention, and Fig. 2 is a sectional view taken along line A-A'. A plurality of linear temperature indicating members 2, 2' are provided in parallel to each other, and a desired number of these units 3 are formed over the entire surface of the cylinder. The linear temperature indicating material 2 forming the unit 3 is preferably made of a known temperature indicating material coated or made into a linear body such as a tape, and at least one of the linear temperature indicating material units 3 is made of a cylinder. It consists of a temperature indicating material that indicates the temperature at which the body starts to shrink, and at least one other
The book 2' is constituted by a temperature indicating material that indicates the temperature at which the cylindrical body is completely shrunk when heated for a certain period of time, for example, within one minute.

FIG. 3 is a sectional view showing another example of the present invention, in which a linear temperature indicating material unit 3 is filled or buried in a recess provided on the surface of the cylinder 1, and the surface is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder 1. It is formed identically to . In this case, the surface becomes flat, and it is also possible to extrude the mixture containing the temperature indicating material at the same time as the cylinder 1.

In this way, when covering an object with the heat-shrinkable cylinder 1 provided with the temperature indicating material unit, the contraction start temperature of the cylinder 1 is first indicated by the coloring of the temperature indicating material 2 by heating, and the contraction starts. Then, by further heating, the completion of contraction is indicated by coloration of the temperature indicating material 2', and heating can be stopped, thereby preventing damage to the cylindrical body 1 due to excessive heating.

Knowing the start of contraction by the coloration of the temperature indicating material 2 is as follows:
This is not very important if it takes a long time to complete the shrinkage due to the material of the cylinder, but if the shrinkage time is short, it becomes a warning to prevent overheating and is extremely important.

Furthermore, since the temperature indicator unit 3 has a linear shape parallel to the longitudinal direction, it serves as a dimension mark, and its movement allows the state of contraction of each part of the cylindrical body to be known at a glance.
