Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a transitory fault such as noise from being mistakenly detected by permitting a fault identification circuit to decide whether a fault detection signal shows a transitory or continuous fault and considering that a driving circuit arises a fault only for the continuous fault.
CONSTITUTION: Two inputs in an exclusive OR circuit 41 as the fault detection circuit 40 are connected to input and output terminals 31 and 32 in the driving circuit 30 installed in the data signal circuit of a time division line concentration switch LTSW 2. When the input and output of the driving circuit 30 are the same, the output of the exclusive OR circuit 41 is at a low level. However, if the driving circuit 30 arises a fault to vary the input and output, its output becomes a high level. If the fault arising in the driving circuit 30 is transitory, both outputs of F/Fs 52 and 53 never become a high level simultaneously. Thus the fault arising in the driving circuit included in a time division line concentration switching circuit can be decided to be transitory or coninuous.
