Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a structural steel tube having high fatigue strength and excellent in reliability, by laying a low-carbon steel plate on a steel plate of medium- or high-carbon steel, etc., to form the above into a clad pipe, by subjecting the joint to butt seam welding so as to integrate the internal and external pipes, and then by applying quench-and-temper treatment to the above.
