Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a coating composition consisting of a N-alkylene substituted acrylamide based polymer emulsion and heat-conductive metal powder and capable of forming coating film improved in heat exchange characteristics in a heat exchanger providing condensation of water content or frosting on the heat transfer surface.
CONSTITUTION: The aimed coating composition consisting of (A) 95W50pts.wt. (as a solid content) emulsion of polymer composed of homopolymer or copolymer of N-alkylene substituted acrylamide expressed by the formula [A is -(CH2)-; n is 4 or 5] and/or copolymer of the above-mentioned N-alkylene substituted acrylamide and other copolymerizable monomer and (B) 5W50pts.wt. heat conductive metal powder. The aimed coating composition is preferably used in coating of a heat exchanger.
