Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect a printing head always except when printing is performed and save troublesome procedures prior to the commencement of printing for prevention of faulty ink discharge by operating a printing head protection and opening/closing of an ink coagulation preventing cap, interlocked to a printing switch. CONSTITUTION:When a print start button 2 is pressed, a printing head cap 8 slides through a connecting rod 9, and an ink discharge part of a printing head 1 is opened. The printing head cap 8 is made of an elastic body so that it may closely stick to the printing head 1. Under this structure, the printing head 1 is always protected except when printing is performed by operating opening/closing of the printing head cap 8 for head protection and ink coagulation prevention, interlocked to the print start button 2. Consequently, it is possible to protect the printing head 1 and prevent ink coagulation when a recording device is not used, thus saving troublesome procedures before initiation of printing.
