Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of dust inside the disk enclosure (DE) of a magnetic disk device so as to improve the reliability and durability of the device, by fitting or applying a viscous substance to the surfaces of the parts other than the driving parts in the DE of the device so that dust can be caught by the surfaces of the parts. CONSTITUTION:A viscous substance 1 is fitted or applied to the surfaces of the parts other than the driving parts in the disk enclosure (DE) of a magnetic disk device. When the viscous substance 1 is partially fitted or applied to the sides and bottom of a DE base 2, dust 3 can be caught by the sides when the device is driven and by the bottom when the device is not driven of the DE base 2.
