Abstract

PURPOSE: To exactly detect a rotation angle with good accuracy on the basis of simple constitution by removing the high frequency component of a spectrum in the vicinity of carrier frequency, by bringing the two-phase exciting AC of a resolver to the pulse width modulated waveform of a high speed carrier of several tens of times as fast a fundamental wave and providing LPF to the induced signal voltage detection line on a secondary side.
CONSTITUTION: The high speed clock signal from an oscillator 12 is received by a counter 2 and a decoder 14 is operated by the output from the counter 12 to output a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. The carrier frequency of this PWM signal is brought to a high speed carrier to several ten times a fundamental wave and accurate two-phase AC signals are outputted from switch circuits 15, 1 to be supplied to a resolver 6 and an induced voltage signal is outputted to an induced voltage signal detection line 17 by a resolver rotor 7. The induced voltage signal is inputted to LPF 18 and the high frequency component of the spectrum in the vicinity of carrier frequency is removed. Then, the induced voltage signal is processed by a waveform shaping circuit 19 and a latch circuit 20.
