Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a secondary magnetic circuit and the whole linear pulse motor lightweight by thinning the base of the circuit to provide a reinforcing member having a small specific weight.
CONSTITUTION: A movable element 10 is formed by bonding a scale 3 made of a ferromagnetic material with teeth formed in the direction of a stepping operation to one side surface of a base 11 made of a ferromagnetic material which has the same size as that of the scale 3 and is thinner, for example, 1.5mm than a conventional one. It is also formed by attaching a flat plate of reinforcing member 12 having rigidity, smaller specific weight than that of the base 11, e.g., polyphenylene sulfide resin having 1.6 of specific weight and 3mm of thickness to the opposite side of the base. With such a configuration, the element 10 can be made lightweight, thereby accelerating the responding speed of a stepping operation.
