Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a mixture from being not uniform, by disposing two fuel injection valves in an intake port of an engine so that one of them is disposed down stream of the other with respect to the flow of intake-air so that fuel is injected from the fuel injection valves, independently from each other.
CONSTITUTION: In a non-manifold intake-air passage part of a fuel injection passage or an intake-air port 6, first and second fuel injection valves 7, 8 are disposed. In this arrangement the first fuel injection valve 7 is arranged upstream of intake-air valves 4A, 4B in the intake-air port 6 at a position equally distant from both intake-air valves 4A, 4B so that atomized fuel from the first fuel injection valve 7 is equally injected into the intake-air valves 4A, 4B. Further, the second fuel injection valve 8 is disposed upstream of the first fuel injection valve 7 in the intake-air port 6 at a position equally distant from the intake-air valves 4A, 4B. Further, the fuel injection valves 7, 8 are opened and closed under control, independently from each other by a control circuit in accordance with signals indicating the operating condition of an engine.
