Abstract

PURPOSE: To treat waste O3 efficiently by adsorbing waste O3 by a scavenger and then acting electron and/or ionized gas or said scavenger.
CONSTITUTION: Waste O3 comes into from an inlet 1, is decomposed to a comparatively low concentration at a packing section 2 of catalyst such as MnO2, Ag or the like, and then adsorbed and removed at an ion exchanged filter section 3 to be discharged out of an outlet 4. The adsorbed O3 is decomposed by electron generated by the electrical discharge method, the radiation irradiation method or the like and/or ionized gas generated by charging gas with electron. Activated carbon can be used as an O3 scavenger in place of the ion exchange filter.
