(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a method for producing a modified propylene polymer.More specifically, titanium molecules in catalyst residue 5 ppm
A specific amount of a hindered amine compound having no phenolic hydroxyl group (hereinafter referred to as compound A), a phosphorus antioxidant, and a radical generator is blended with a propylene polymer containing 0.5 ppm or more of vanadium. , relates to a method for producing a modified propylene polymer, which comprises melt-kneading at a temperature of 150°C to 300°C. (Prior art) In general, propylene polymers are relatively inexpensive and have excellent mechanical properties, so they are used to manufacture various molded products such as injection molded products, blow molded products, films, sheets, and fibers. However, propylene polymers are molded at temperatures higher than the melting point of the propylene polymers, but during this process they undergo oxidative deterioration due to heat during melt mixing, causing the molecules of the propylene polymers to deteriorate. Processability and mechanical strength decrease due to chain scission, and problems such as coloration and odor occur due to oxidative deterioration. In particular, propylene polymers contain tertiary carbon that is easily susceptible to oxidation. Therefore, it is easily subject to thermal oxidative deterioration due to melt kneading during molding processing, and there is also a problem with thermal stability during practical use.For this reason, conventional methods have been used to prevent thermal oxidative deterioration during melt mixing. So, 2.6-di-t
Low molecular weight heptenolic antioxidants such as -butyl-p-cresol (BHT) are widely used, and high molecular weight phenolic antioxidants are widely used to provide thermal stability during practical use. However, when the propylene polymer blended with the above-mentioned 7-enol antioxidant is melt mixed, the phenolic antioxidant used is melted by the catalyst residue of titanium or vanadium in the propylene polymer. During crosstalk, quinone compounds are oxidized and the resulting propylene polymer is colored. In the process of researching the catalyst residue, we found that even if the above-mentioned 7-enol antioxidant was blended with the propylene polymer containing a large amount of titanium or vanadium and the mixture was melt-mixed, it would pose a practical problem. Although no coloration occurs, when a propylene polymer containing such a phenolic antioxidant is modified by melt cross-fertilization treatment in the presence of a radical generator, the resulting modified propylene polymer may be significantly colored. We have discovered a method for producing a modified propylene polymer (patent application) in which a polyol or a partial ester of a polyol and a fatty acid and a phenolic antioxidant are first blended into a propylene polymer and then melt mixed in the presence of a radical generator. No. 1983-96019 and patent application No. 1983-157
No. 315) was proposed. In addition, in order to completely improve the molding processability of propylene-based polymers, propylene-based polymers are melt mixed in the presence of a radical generator to reduce the molecular weight of the propylene-based polymers. Methods of modifying coalescence are well known. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The present inventors were not satisfied with the method for producing a modified propylene polymer previously proposed in % Application No. 61-96019 and Japanese Patent Application No. 61-157315. Further intensive research was conducted on a method for obtaining a modified propylene polymer that does not become colored even when a propylene polymer containing a large amount of titanium or vanadium as a catalyst residue is subjected to melt mixing treatment in the presence of a radical generator. As a result, the titanium content of the catalyst residue was 5 ppm or more or vanadium molecules
When a propylene polymer containing 0.5 ppm or more is blended with a specific amount of a hindered amine compound that does not have a phenolic hydroxyl group (hereinafter referred to as compound A), a phosphorus antioxidant, and a radical generator, and subjected to melt mixing treatment, We have discovered that it is possible to obtain a modified propylene polymer that is free from coloration and has practically satisfactory thermal oxidative deterioration prevention properties during melt cross-talk and thermal stability during practical use, and based on this knowledge, we have completed the present invention. . As is clear from the above description, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a propylene polymer containing 15 pptn or more of titanium in the catalyst residue or 0.5 ppm or more of vanadium molecules.
The object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a modified propylene polymer without coloration by blending Compound A, a phosphorus acid antioxidant, and a radical generator, and subjecting the compound to melt mixing treatment. [Means for solving all problems] The present invention has the following configuration. A hindered amine compound having no phenolic hydroxyl group (hereinafter referred to as compound A) is added to the propylene polymer ZooX containing s ppm or more of titanium or 0.5 ppm of vanadium molecules in the catalyst residue.

.. It is 1 to 1 part by weight. If the amount is less than 0.05 parts by weight, the thermal stability in practical use of the modified propylene polymer will be insufficient, and if it is more than 5 parts by weight, the thermal stability in practical use will be insufficient. It is not only impractical as no improvement can be expected, but also uneconomical. The blending ratio of the phosphorus antioxidant is 0 to 100 parts by weight of the propylene polymer.

If the amount is less than 0.01 part by weight, the effect of preventing thermal oxidative deterioration during melt mixing of the modified propylene polymer will not be sufficiently exhibited. It is not only impractical since no improvement in the effect of preventing deterioration can be expected, but also uneconomical. For the radical generator used in the present invention, in order to obtain a uniform composition, it is preferable that the decomposition temperature is not too low, and the temperature to obtain a half-life of 10 hours is 70°C or higher, preferably 100°C or higher. dibenzoyl peroxide, 1-phthylbar benzony), t-7'chilbar 7 acetate, t-butylperoxyinpropyl carbonate, 2,5-di-methyl-2,5-di-(benzoyl peroxy)hexane, 2,5-di-methyl-

(pulp, waste paper, synthetic fibers, natural fibers, etc.) can be mixed and used within a range that does not impair the purpose of the present invention. In the production method of the present invention, the above-mentioned compound A is added to a propylene polymer containing 5 ppm or more of titanium or 0.5 pprn or more of vanadium molecules in the catalyst residue. Predetermined amounts of the phosphorus antioxidant, radical generator, and the various additives mentioned above that are usually added to propylene polymers are mixed using a conventional mixing device such as Hensel Mixer (trade name), Super Mixer, Ribbon Blender, or Pan Bali Mixer. Mix at a temperature that does not decompose the blended radical generator, etc., and mix with a normal single-screw extruder, twin-screw extruder, Brabender or roll, etc., at a melt mixing temperature of 150°C.
This is carried out by melt-kneading treatment at ~300°C, preferably 180°C to 270°C. [Function] In the present invention, compound A is described in Plastics, Vol. 35, 1.
No. 1, pp. 44-58 (1984 edition), it mainly acts as a radical scavenger and contributes to improving thermal stability (heat resistance) during practical use. Phosphorous antioxidants are used as peroxide decomposers to prevent thermal oxidative deterioration during melt-kneading.
Furthermore, it is well known that the radical generator generates radicals by melt cross-talk treatment, that is, heating, and cuts the main chain of the propylene polymer, thereby reducing the molecular Jl of the propylene polymer and improving moldability. That's right. The reason why the aforementioned Compound A does not cause coloration in the production method of the present invention is thought to be because Compound A does not produce color-forming atomic groups such as quinone compounds that are seen in the antioxidant process of 7-enol antioxidants. . [Effect] The modified propylene polymer obtained by the production method of the present invention has the above-mentioned %
Compared to the modified propylene polymers related to No. 19 and Patent Application No. 1@61-157315, there is no coloring and the molding processability is improved, so it can be used in injection molding, extrusion molding, blow molding, etc. It can be suitably used for producing desired molded products by the independent molding method. Example 1-16 and Comparative Example 1 (Japanese Patent Application No. 61-96019 and Japanese Patent Application No. 157315 Sho. 61-1982, which were previously proposed by the present inventors)
The method for producing the modified propylene polymer of No. 1, namely, blending a partial ester of a polyol and a fatty acid, a phenolic antioxidant, and a radical generator into a propylene polymer,
Example 1
It can be seen that Samples 1 to 16 showed less coloring than Comparative Example 1, and the coloring prevention properties were improved. Comparing Comparative Example 2 in which a hindered amine compound having a phenolic hydroxyl group was used in place of Compound A and Examples 1 to 16, Comparative Example 2 was markedly colored, and this coloring was caused by the phenolic hydroxyl group of the hindered amine compound. It can be seen that this is due to the generation of quinone compounds. Furthermore, when comparing Examples 1 to 16 with Comparative Example 3, in which the partial ester of polyol and fatty acid used in Comparative Example 1 was further added to Comparative Example 2, Comparative Example 3 was similar to Comparative Example 1, although the colorability was improved. Example 1~
It can be seen that it is not as high as 16. Tables 2 to 5 show crystalline ethylene-propylene random copolymer, crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer, and crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer as propylene polymers, respectively.
A propylene-butene-13-element copolymer and a crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer were used, and the same effects as described above were confirmed with these as well. Therefore, it can be seen that the modified propylene monomer obtained by the production method of the present invention is free from coloration and has improved moldability. Therefore, the modified propylene polymer obtained by the production method of the present invention is one that has been modified by blending a compound with a conventionally known anti-coloring effect and melt-mixing the mixture in the presence of a radical generator. It was found that the anti-coloring property was significantly superior compared to that of the conventional method, confirming the remarkable effect of the present invention. that's all
