Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an operating current from being instantaneously cut off, by providing a power switch detecting circuit and an operation-detecting circuit for detecting the end of a printing operation, and switching OFF a power source when the end of the printing operation is detected while an OFF state of a power switch is being detected.
CONSTITUTION: When a power switch is turned OFF, the condition is detected by a switch-detecting circuit 1. Simultaneously, it is monitored at an operation- detecting circuit 4 to find out whether a printing operation at an operating part 2 is finished. When the printing operation is finished, a printing operation end detection signal is supplied to a controlling part 5. The controlling part 5 ANDs the detection signal with a power switch OFF detection signal from the switch detecting circuit 1, upon which a power source in a power source part 3 is switched OFF. However, the detection signal is not outputted from the detecting circuit 4 when the printing operation is being made, so that the AND condition is not established in the controlling part 5, and the power source is not switched OFF.
