Abstract

PURPOSE: To print dots of uniform colors, to utilize the utilization efficiency of light, and to facilitate a color change by providing light guides to respective light emission sources which emit light beams of plural different colors.
CONSTITUTION: The light sources use LEDs 1B, 1G, and 1R which emit, for example, blue light, green light, and red light. Those light beams are guided to light guides 2B, 2G, and 2R consisting of optical fibers respectively and are bundled into one light guide 3 for light mixing. Mixed light from the projection terminal of the guide 3 is image-formed on a film 4 by an image forming lens 10. Consequently, characters and patterns of dot constitution can be printed in uniform colors on the film 4 and the utilization efficiency of light is improved. Further, a color change is easily made.
