Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The direct current voltage of a stringing 7 and a direct current at the side of an inverter 4 are detected. And when the direct current voltage has exceeded a reference voltage, the inverter 4 is operated, and when the direct current voltage has dropped below the reference voltage and the direct current at the inverter side has decreased to a level below a reference current, the operation of the inverter 4 is stopped. And in the case of the rest of the inverter 4, the gate phase thereof is shifted toward a voltage rise with a stop signal and then the gate of the inverter 4 is turned off. By stopping the regenerative inverter 4 as aforementioned, a circulating current between a converter 2 and the inverter 4 can be eliminated.
