Conventionally, in a vacuum cleaner having a suction port equipped with a rotating brush driven by a rubber belt or the like, the rotation of the electric motor is transmitted to the rotating brush by the rubber belt, but as shown in FIG. The belt 102 is engaged and the rotating brush rotates in the direction of the arrow.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that when the pulley 101 and belt 102 repeatedly come into contact at point a and separate at point b, a phenomenon similar to friction occurs and static electricity is generated. It was also found that the static electricity generated between the felt packing and the rotating brush accounts for a much larger proportion than the static electricity generated between the felt packing and the rotating brush. The generated static electricity flows from the rotating brush shaft of the rotating brush to the bearing, and sends sparks to the steel plate case back, giving a very uneasy feeling. Static electricity builds up, and there is a risk of electric shock if a person touches it, and there is also a risk of secondary damage due to the shock of electric shock when touched.

As described above, static electricity is generated between the belt 22 and the pulley 21, and in the conventional case, sparks are generated between the bearing 19 and the back cover 26, and the back cover 26
High-voltage static electricity accumulates in the 5th part, and since it is made of steel plate, if you touch it, you get an electric shock.
~8 As shown in FIG.
8. Electrical continuity is established through the resistor 30, and the static electricity accumulated on the back cover 26 is corona discharged between the windings of the motor 7 and escapes to the power supply.
Static electricity does not accumulate on the back cover 26, and you will not get an electric shock even if you touch it. At the same time, the back cover 26 and the bearing 19
Even during this period, the electrical conduction is maintained by the conductive bearing rubber 20, so that the spark does not get tired.

In addition, in this embodiment, the resistance value between the outer shell 7' of the electric motor 7 and the metal fitting A14 is 1 MΩ to 500 MΩ.
Since the resistors 30 are arranged in the upper part 1 and the lower part 2 of the main body made of synthetic resin, even if the motor 7 causes dielectric breakdown and the power supply voltage is directly applied to the outer shell 7' of the motor 7, it will not be touched by a person. The upper body 1, lower body 2, etc., which are at risk, are insulators made of synthetic resin, so there is no risk of electric shock, and the metal back cover 26, protective cover 23,
There is no risk of electric shock as the power supply voltage is applied directly to the metal fitting A14, and at the same time, the leakage current flowing from the back cover 26 etc. to the ground is less than 1 mmA, which satisfies technical standards and there is no danger of electric shock.

In addition, as shown in FIG. 9, a capacitor 31 for noise prevention is provided, but if the back cover 26 and the outer shell of the electric blower 7 are electrically connected, a small amount of electricity charged in the capacitor 31 will be generated. is back cover 26
may cause electric shock to sensitive people. However, as described above, since the outer shell of the motor 7 and the back cover 26 are connected through the resistor 29, there is no risk of electric shock.

As described above, this invention electrically connects the steel plate back cover and protective cover provided on the underside of the suction port with the outer shell of the motor, allowing static electricity to escape to the power supply side and prevent static electricity from accumulating on the back cover, etc. At the same time, if a resistor is installed, there will be no problem even if the motor causes dielectric breakdown and the power supply voltage is applied to its outer shell. Moreover, if the resistor is housed inside the main body, there will be no problem. The power supply voltage is not directly applied to the back cover, etc., which may be touched by people, and the leakage current is less than 1 mmA, which satisfies technical standards and poses no risk of electric shock.
