Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the control precision at low frequency while weeding out the errors due to the changes in temperature by a method wherein the terminal voltage and current are processed to calculate magnetic flux and the secondary current which are further processed to calculate the slip frequency.
CONSTITUTION: The motor terminal voltage detected by a voltage detector 5 is converted into AC voltages Vα, Vβ of two phase by a three phase∼two phase converter 7. The primary current detected by current detectors 3, 4 is also converted into iα, iβ by another three phase∼two phase converter 6. The secondary magnetic flux ϕ2 is calculated by processing the square i1 2 of the primary current amplitude using an absolute value circuit 16, a divider 17, an adder. Subtracter 31, amplifiers 22, 24 and a square root extractor 20. Then the secondary current i2 is calculated by dividing power P' by the primary voltage amplitude V1 as an output from another square root extractor 21 using another divider 18 and multiplying the quotient by L/M using the other amplifier 23. Finally the slip frequency ωs can be calculated by processing the secondary magnetic flux ϕ2 and the secondary current i2 using the other amplifier 25 and the other divider 19.
