個の発熱素子をもつ感熱ヘツドと、該感熱ヘツド
の発熱素子と対向して配置されたプラテンローラ
と、上記感熱ヘツドとプラテンローラとの間に記
録紙とインクドナーフイルムを、前記インクドナ
ーフイルムが感熱ヘツド側となり、かつ前記イン
クドナーフイルムのインク面が記録紙と接するよ
う供給することのできるインクドナーフイルム供
給手段および記録紙供給手段と、上記感熱ヘツド
とプラテンローラ間のインクドナーフイルムおよ
び記録紙に押圧を付与する手段と、上記感熱ヘツ
ドを画情報に基づき選択的に発熱させる感熱ヘツ
ド駆動手段をもち、上記発熱素子の発熱により前
記インクドナーフイルム上のインクを記録紙に転
写し記録を行う熱転写プリンタにおいて、感熱ヘ
ツド上の発熱素子に沿つた方向に、上記押圧が、
中央部より両端部が小となるよう分布するように
印加せしめるようにしたことを特徴とする熱転写
