うな塗布ローラにあつては、導出パイプの塗布液
導入側に近い位置にある上記流出孔ほど高液圧で
塗布液が出易くなることから、塗布ロール面の塗
布液含浸量の幅方向の勾配を生じて塗りむらがで
き易く、また塗布液の粘度によつては上記導入側
に近い部分から液滴が落下して周囲を汚したり、
これを避けるために逆に導入側に遠い部分でかす
れを生じたりし、圧力調整が困難であり、更に送
液中に塗布ロール筒内部および導出パイプ内に残
留している塗布液が塗布用ローラを傾けた際等に
液滴となつてぼた落ちし、加えて塗布ロール筒内
部の空間全体に塗布液が充満するために全体の重
量が大きくなるといつた問題があつた。

る。この場合、塗布ロール3の含浸材層3bに含
浸される塗布液量は幅方向に勾配を生じずに均一
となるから、塗布むらが発生しない。またこの点
から、送液圧をかすれが生じない程度に設定して
おけば、塗布中における液滴の落下が防止され、
且つ塗布液の粘度差による影響が少なく、送液圧
力の調整が非常に容易である。更に送液を停止し
た際には、袋状部4aの内圧低下によつてスリツ
ト状開口10が自動的に閉止するから、塗布用ロ
ーラを傾けても袋状部4a内およびこれに接続す

口が内圧減少によつて自然に閉止するから、塗布
用ローラを傾けても塗布液供給部材内およびこれ
に接続する経路中の残留液は外へ漏れず、液滴が
ぼた落ちして周囲を汚すという惧れがない。また
本発明では、塗布液を塗布ローラの外面に直接に
供給含浸させる方式であり、塗布ローラ内に大容
量の液溜り空間が存在しないことから、全体を軽
量に構成でき、更に塗布液供給部材を含む液供給
部が構造簡単であるため、低コストで製作できる
と共に、既存の塗布用ローラ、例えば浸漬補給方
式の手動塗布ローラ等に対して大幅な設計変更な
しに本発明を適用した構造に改造できる。
