【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は複写機、フアクシミリなどの装置で、

るために用いられるロータリーカツターに関す
る。

従来より用いられているこの種のロータリーカ
ツターの構造は第1図に示すように、回転刃1と
これに刃先を圧接した固定刃2とよりなり、回転
刃1を間欠的に一回転させることによつて紙3を
切断する。さらにこのような構造のロータリーカ
ツターにおいて通紙隙間C1はできるだけ広いこ
とが望まれる。すなわち記録紙3の紙端4はもと
もとロール状に巻かれたときの巻き癖を有してい
るうえに、しばしば温湿度変化の影響によつて波
形となることがあり、狭い隙間を安定に通すこと
が難しい場合を生ずるからである。隙間C1を広
くするためには、カツターの断面寸法を大きくす
ることによつて達成することができる。しかしこ
のような方法はカツターそのものを大型化するこ
とになり、複写機、フアクシミリなどの事務用機
器における小型・軽量化に対する一般的要請に背
くものとなるという隘路があつたのである。

この目的を達成するために、本考案のロータリ
ーカツターでは切断位置における回転刃の刃先の
回転方向と切断される紙の進行方向をほぼ同一方
向となるように配置することによつて通紙隙間を
広く保ち、この配置によつて紙端が固定刃の刃先
に引つ掛る現象を避けるために弾性支持された紙
案内板を取り付けた構造を採用したことを特徴と
する。このことを図面にもとづいて具体的に説明
すると、第2図において固定刃5は両端の軸6に
よつて支持さればね7によつてその刃先8を回転
刃9に圧接しており、固定刃の刃先8の位置にお
ける回転刃9の刃先の移動方向は紙10の進行方
向(矢印A)にほぼ一致している。このような刃
物の配置によつて通紙隙間C2は従来の構造のロ
ータリーカツターに比較して十分広くすることが
でき紙端が曲がつたり、折れたりするような一様
でない記録紙でも安定に通すことが可能となる。
しかし単に刃物の配置をこのようにしただけでは
固定刃5の刃先を構成する画11に紙端が衝突し
てしまい引き続いて紙を送り込むことができな
い。このような欠点を除くために、本考案のロー
タリーカツターでは、ばね12によつて弾性的に
支持された紙案内板13を採用し、紙案内板13
の先端14は固定刃の刃先8よりもわずかに突出
した位置となるように配置するものである。この
ように配置された紙案内板13は回転幻9の刃先
が回転するとこれに押されて後退し、切断完了後
は刃面11に引つ掛つた紙端を持ち上げて引き続
いて行なわれる通紙を安定に行なわせる役目を果
するものである。
