Abstract

PURPOSE: To generate clocks synchronized stably with signal inputs having various kinds of transmission speed by changing the clock frequency division ratio in accordance with a lead/leg detection signal inputted from a loop filter part of a digital PLL.
CONSTITUTION: The phase of an inputted digital coded signal and that of an output digital clock are compared with each other by a phase comparing part 120, and a lead signal F0 or a lag signal D0 is outputted in every period of clocks from a clock generating part 110. Signals F0 and D0 are filtered by a loop filter part 130 and are inputted to a frequency division ratio determining part 140. If the number of lead detection signals F1 of lag detection signals D1 exceeds a prescribed non-transient threshold, the frequency division ratio determining part 140 generates a frequency division ratio designating signal which raises the frequency division ratio in case of lead and reduces it in case of lag, and the clock of the clock generating part 110 has the frequency divided by a frequency dividing part 150 and is outputted.
