る。 [Detailed explanation of the invention] This invention relates to a world clock. Conventionally, there is a world clock in which a plurality of clock display sections for displaying the time in various locations are attached to a world map board. For this type of world clock, separate world map boards were produced depending on the region in which it was used. In other words, when used in Japan, a world map board was used with Japan in the center, the Asian continent on the left, and the American continent on the right. When used in Europe, a world map board was used with the Asian continent on the right and the American continent on the left, in order to place Europe in the center. In this way, separate world map boards were produced for each region of use, which resulted in extremely low production efficiency and extremely high costs. The present invention provides a world clock that can be adapted to the region in which it is used by constructing a world map board from a plurality of panels and assembling the panels in a different order. An embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below. In Figures 1 and 2, 1 is the world clock and 7
World map board consisting of panels 2a to 2g
2 , and a frame 3 for supporting the world map board. A world map is drawn in sections on the panels 2a to 2g, and the world map is created by assembling the panels 2a to 2g in order. The world map shown in Figure 1 has Japan and Australia located in the center, and is therefore suitable for use in these regions. The frame body 3 is an upper frame 3 made of extruded material, for example.
a. A configuration in which the lower frame 3b and left frame 3c are screwed to the wall surface 4 as shown in the second figure, and after inserting the panels 2a to 2g into the mounting grooves of these frames, the right frame 3d is attached to the upper and lower frames 3a and 3b. It is. In addition, the frame body 3 is not limited to the above-mentioned one,
It may have a box-like structure with an opening at the front, and it is also possible to screw a panel into the opening at the front. Clock display sections 5a to 5g are arranged at the top of the panels 2a to 2g. Clock display section 5
A indicates the time in London on the panel 2a, and similarly, time display sections 5b to 5g indicate the time in Karachi, Bangkok, Tokyo, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and New York on the panels 2b to 2g, respectively. The clock display parts 5a to 5g are attached to the child clock mechanical body 6 attached to the back side of the panels 2a to 2g.
, an exposed sword 7 fixed to a pointer shaft protruding from the front side of the panel from these sub-clock mechanical bodies, and an AM/PM display window 8 . For example, the AM/PM display window is white for AM. It is switched by a child clock train so that the afternoon is black. A slave clock drive device 9 is attached inside the frame 3. This child clock drive device is a power supply device 9a as shown in the third diagram.
and a pulse generator 9b. The power supply device 9a obtains 24 V DC from 100 V or 240 V AC, and has a built-in secondary battery. The pulse generator 9b receives DC 24V and generates a polarized signal for, for example, 30 seconds to drive the slave clock mechanical body 6.
The slave clock drive device 9 does not include a needle adjustment mechanism for the slave clock, and is therefore low-cost, and the hands of the slave clock mechanical body 6 are adjusted by manually rotating the exposed swords 7. When this world clock 1 is used, for example, in the European region, panels 2a to 2g are displayed as shown in the fourth diagram.
Shifting the order of 2e, 2f, 2g, 2 from the left
They are arranged as a, 2b, 2c, and 2d and attached to the frame 3. As a result, the world map board 2 has the European region and the African continent located in the center, and is arranged in an arrangement suitable for use in these regions. Next, when this world clock 1 is used in the American region, panels 2c, 2d,
They are arranged as 2e, 2f, 2g, 2a, and 2b and attached to the frame 3. As a result, world map board 2
The North American and South American continents are located in the center, making the arrangement suitable for use in these regions.
Note that various arrangements other than these are possible. The panels 2a to 2g are arranged appropriately to form the world map board 2, which is attached to the frame 3, and the slave clock mechanical bodies 6 of each panel are connected to the slave clock drive device 9. The clock display sections 5a to 5g are set by the exposure sword 7, taking into account the time difference of each region, and then the slave clock mechanical body 6 is set by the 30 second polar signal from the slave clock drive device 9.
is driven and displays the time around the world. In this example, the world map board was composed of seven panels, but other numbers may be used, and all the panels do not have to be of the same width, but the panels may be different so as to be separated by the oceanic part of the world map. It may be the width. Further, the clock display section is not limited to an analog display, but may also be a digital display. As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to extremely easily manufacture a world clock having a world map plate suitable for the region in which it is used. Furthermore, since production efficiency is improved, costs can be significantly reduced.
