この考案は、オートバイの後輪泥除けの改良に

輪泥除けは、後部は、車体の後方に突出するが、
前部は、フレームの内側に入つて、フレームカバ

な場合は、後輪泥除けを前部と後部に分割し、突
出する後部は、剛性が高く体裁もよい鋼板プレス
製とし、前部は軽量で安価にできる合成樹脂成形
品として、ボルト等で連結して使用している。と
ころが、後輪泥除けを深く、泥水の受けがよいよ
うにすると、前部も車体の側方に露出するように
なり、鋼板製で全体を作ることになる。このよう
にすると、成形品が悪く、作業が面倒で、歩留り
も悪くて製造コストが高くつき、重量も重くなつ

前部サイドパネル２の後端を重ねて、後部泥除け
１の下縁と前部サイドパネル２の下縁が一連にな
るようにして、後部泥除け１に前部サイドパネル
２をスポツト溶接等によつて溶着して一体にす
る。この一体にした状態で、メツキ又は塗装を施
して仕上げる。前部泥除け３は、合成樹脂を用い
て型成形する。前部泥除け３は、成形するとき、
後縁が後部泥除け１の前縁に重なる形状にし、
又、両側縁が前部サイドパネル２の上縁に重なる
形状にする。そして、後部左右にリブ４を突設す
る。左右の前部サイドパネル２は、ボルト５で前
部泥除け３に締着する。後部泥除け１は、ボルト
６でフレーム７の左右後端に締着し、前部泥除け
３の前端は、車体部品８にボルト９で締着して取
付ける。このようにしたとき、前部泥除け３の後
端は、左右のリブ４部分が、左右のフレーム７と
後部泥除け１の前端との間に挟まれて保持され
