Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform temperature control of a simple constitution and a high cooling effect by controlling to determine the amount of low temperature water to be mixed into a dielectric fluid supply tank based on a difference in detected temperatures between the dielectric fluid in the supply tank and a machine.
CONSTITUTION: When a water supply valve 7 is opened, city water of a low temperature is supplied via a flow rate control valve 9 to a dielectric fluid supply tank 3 and mixed with dielectric fluid of a high temperature, and the temperature of the dielectric fluid is lowered. The temperature of the dielectric fluid is detected by a temperature detector 11 and transmitted, together with a temperature of a machine detected by a temperature detector 15, to a control device 17. The control device then supplies an electric current proportional to the difference between said temperatures to the flow rate control valve 9. Accordingly, the city water of a low temperature is continued to be supplied to the dielectric fluid supply tank until the temperature of the dielectric fluid becomes equal to that of the machine and the supply is stopped when those temperatures become equal to each other. Thus, temperature control of the dielectric fluid for an electric discharge machine with a very simple constitution and a high cooling effect becomes possible.
