Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate a resistance variation of a connecting part, caused by a thermal distortion and an environmental factor, and to always obtain a stable connection, by using silver paste for connecting a part of a prescribed pattern electrode and a pattern electrode of the whole surface, and also, sealing its periphery with insulating paste or carbon paste.
CONSTITUTION: Insulating paste 8 has the outside periphery of, for instance, an annular shape, etc., which is printed in a prescribed position of glass plate 1 having a prescribed pattern electrode 3 on one face, and silver paste 9 is printed in a position which is surround by the insulating paste 8, in case the glass plates 1, 2 are stuck. Two pieces of glass plates 1, 2 are stuck, based on an alignment in a prescribed position, a very small gap is packed with a liquid crystal 5, and thereafter, it is sealed. The silver paste 9 and the insulating paste 8 of a junction part between each electrode are burned in a state that they have conformed with each other without a gap, the silver paste 9 is further sealed up tightly, and by using the insulating paste 8, the adhesive strength is further improved. In such a way, the silver paste 9 does not contact the liquid crystal 5 and the atmospheric air, deterioration by a chemical variation is prevented, and a stable connection can be obtained.
